The Thunder don’t have much P.T. available for their rookies so far this year, so they have been getting them consistent work in the D-League for the Tulsa 66ers. 21-year old power forward Perry Jones has played in 29 games (0 starts) for the Thunder so far this year and he is averaging 7.0 minutes, 1.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. Jones is shooting 37.3% from the floor and 75% from the free throw line so far this year. But, Jones has also played in 12 games (all starts) for the 66ers this year in which he is averaging 32.8 minutes, 14.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. 20-year old shooting guard Jeremy Lamb has played in 18 games (0 starts) for the Thunder so far this year and he is averaging 4.4 minutes, 2.2 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.1 assists per game. He is only shooting 35.3% from the floor, but a very impressive 47.1% from the three point line so far for the Thunder. Lamb has played in 15 games (all starts) for the 66ers this year and he is averaging 33.3 minutes, 21.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game. The Thunder have been smart to let Jones and Lamb play in the D-League, where they can actually get on the court instead of sitting at the end of the bench in the NBA.
